Mason - thank you once again for setting up my blog. Although not necessarily directly contributing to my cause, it's been an incredible thing for me - being able to document my journey, which has been very therapeutic, but it has also allowed me to communicate with my friends and family. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I've always been very skeptical about donating money to charities - as you never know whether the money is really going to the people or not. The trust that you put in me is huge by giving me this money and therefore I would like to share with you exactly what i did with it- so here's the breakdown.
- A weekly manicure and pedicure for my poor little hands and feet.
- A 2 week holiday in the Dominicans for me and my new friends.
- A brand new wardrobe for my new job in Miami.
JUST KIDDING, SILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-)
No seriously, here it is:
- LOTS of food, medicine and personal hygiene stuff for the chicas in the hogar.
- LOTS (Even more than above) food for the disabled kids in the other shelter. (If you've been reading my blog, then u'll know about this place, even though i didn't have the opportunity to work there. This is a test of my true followers!!!!!!!!!)
- Tons of school supplies, clothes (jeans, jackets, underwear, socks, shoes - for 30 of the kids in there), Xmas tree+ decos and food for Christian's hogar.
- School supplies for the kids in Genova(the remote village).
- Sponsoring 2 kids education for the next year.
